"This session was incredibly off the cuff. I was actually filming this renowned jazz musican for an instructional DVD when I noticed how the rust-colored back wall brought out the tones in his skin. I put down my film camera , impulsively grabbed my still camera and began walking back and forth to look for angles. The grey wool shirt forms a backdrop for his golden saxophone. He was blowing some soulful notes as I clicked away. Positioning him high up in the frame emphasizes his personality trait of projecting personal power and dominance."
