"This session was in my studio. I was fascinated by the architecture of Gloria's hairstyle and by her polyethnic look -- the earrings seem native american; her hair feels african; and her dress has elements of eastern europe. I used a Chimera diffusion key light and a subtle hairlight placed overhead and slightly to the rear to separate her from the background. As it is, the diffusion filter on my camera and the slight light bounce from the backdrop helps to give this image a halo effect. Her skin positively glows."
